Azmir Merican

Azmir Merican is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Group Managing Director at Sime Darby Property since April 2020, Azmir has held key positions including Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer at UEM Edgenta Berhad from August 2014 to April 2020 and Group Chief Operating Officer at UEM Group Berhad from October 2012 to July 2014. Prior to these roles, Azmir was the Group Chief Executive/Managing Director at AWC Berhad and Assistant General Manager at CIMB Investment Bank Berhad. Azmir began a career in corporate finance as a Senior Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Azmir holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business, earned between 1992 and 1995.
