Andy Martin

Andy Martin has extensive experience in education and sports safeguarding. Currently serving as the Head of Rugby and Assistant Head of Learning Support at Tanglin Trust School since August 2011, Andy also holds leadership roles as Head of Houses and DSL (sport). In March 2023, Andy founded GuardSport Safeguarding, aimed at promoting safeguarding practices in sports organizations. Additionally, since May 2023, Andy has been the Safeguarding Officer at Singapore Rugby Union. Previous roles include Primary SENCO and PR/Fundraising Coordinator at Joseph Varga School, Head of Physical Education at Durants School, and Physical Curriculum Advisor at the Early Years Social Inclusion Project. Andy's academic qualifications include a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Newcastle and degrees in Primary Education and Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from Middlesex University and the University of Plymouth, respectively.
