Camille Vandervaeren is a researcher in architectural engineering at SINTEF Community since August 2021, focusing on sustainability in the built environment, including life cycle assessment, environmental impact of reused construction products, and waste reduction on construction sites. Concurrently, Camille serves as a Strategic Basis PhD fellow at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, developing life cycle assessment methods for transformable buildings and circular design. As part of the H2020 'BAMB' project, Camille contributed to reversible building design research. Previous experience includes a student trainee position at ORIGIN Architecture & Engineering, where Camille engaged in construction meetings, technical compliance checks, and architectural drawing, as well as administrative work at Venizi. Camille holds a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering from Université libre de Bruxelles and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, respectively, and participated in the Erasmus+ program at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.
