Georgios Bakas

Georgios Bakas, PhD, is a data scientist with experience at bespot. since September 2022 and previously served as a doctoral student at the National Technical University of Athens from September 2017 to June 2023, focusing on data analysis for the CMS experiment at CERN. Prior to these roles, Georgios Bakas worked as a data scientist at IRES from November 2020 to July 2022, where efforts centered on developing machine learning tools for nanomaterial sciences and computer vision applications. Additionally, Georgios Bakas was involved as a doctoral student at CERN from September 2017 to September 2019, providing support for the CMS detector control systems. Educational accomplishments include a Master’s degree in Physics and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from the National Technical University of Athens, following completion of high school at HAEF.
