Tarmo Toikkanen

Tarmo Toikkanen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the educational technology sector. Currently serving as a Leading Specialist at Sitra since September 2022, Tarmo focuses on competence and skills challenges within the Roadmap for a Fair Data Economy team. Tarmo also holds leadership roles as Chair of the Council of eLearning at the Association of Finnish eLearning Center, and as Coordinator for Creative Commons Finland. With a background as Co-owner of NP Solutions and Owner of T:mi Tarmo Toikkanen, Tarmo has a strong foundation in consulting and educational expertise, complemented by a decade of work in e-learning, teacher training, and content creation. Previous positions include Executive Director at Open Knowledge Finland and Head of Operations at Code School Finland, reflecting a commitment to coding education and innovative learning solutions. Tarmo holds a Master's degree in Psychology, Computer Science, and Mathematics from the University of Helsinki.
