Meir Burstin has extensive experience in leadership roles across various technology and software companies. As Chairman of Sivron since 1998, Burstin has focused on fintech innovations in online trading systems. Previous chairmanships include Negev Software, a communication monitoring firm, and both Lanoptics and EZchip, companies specializing in digital communications and network processors, respectively. Burstin also co-founded Ornet, which was acquired by Siemens, and served as Founder, Chairman, and CEO of ART Advanced Recognition Technologies, a pioneer in handwriting and voice recognition. In addition to corporate roles, Burstin has held presidential positions at Elisra and Tadiran, focusing on electronic warfare and communications systems. Burstin has contributed to academia as a lecturer at Tel Aviv University and a visiting scholar at UCLA. Educational achievements include a PhD in Ancient History and a PhD in Computer Software Engineering from Tel Aviv University, alongside a Master of Science in Astrophysics and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
