Foster Smith

Foster Smith is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in energy commodity trading and investment management. Currently serving as Portfolio Manager at Six One Commodities since September 2022, Foster previously held roles including Trader and Investment Manager as a self-employed professional from January 2017 to September 2022, and Portfolio Manager at Caxton Associates from September 2015 to December 2016. Foster co-founded and served as Principal at FSM Capital LP from January 2009 to September 2015, and held Managing Director positions at both JPMorgan Chase and Deutsche Bank from May 2007 to January 2009 and February 2004 to May 2007, respectively. Earlier experience includes serving as Senior Vice President at El Paso Energy from December 1995 to April 2003 and Trader at Samson Resources from February 1993 to December 1995. Foster holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA in Finance from The University of Tulsa.
