Kurt Frei

Kurt has vast experience of working in Swiss manufacturing industry, especially in production, procurement and assessment.

Kurt Frei has been leading Rieter Machine Works Ltd. In Winterthur, Switzerland since 2015. Managing close to 600 employees at Rieter today, he looks back at over 35 years of professional experience in various leadership roles within the Swiss manufacturing industry, especially in production, procurement and assessment.

Kurt Frei started his career as an apprentice at Rieter Machine Works Ltd and went on to do BSc in Mechanical Engineering, ZHAW School of Engineering, Winterthur, CAS in Computer Aided Automatization (CAA), University of Applied Sciences, Bern as well as a MAS in Company Management, University of Applied Sciences, St. Gallen. Kurt Frei has vast experience in business development, management of a global After-Sales organization, agent network and is a board member of several companies and foundations as well as the Training Center Winterthur, AZW.
