Phnom Penh International University (RUP) was established in 2002 as the "ASEAN University" under the initiative of Rector Tep Kolap , a Cambodian intellectual with high will and ideals. Higher education of the next generation of Cambodian descendants. The Rector has sacrificed her physical and mental strength, honor and personal wealth to build and expand the university, from only 1,050 students to 7,000 students, and from renting a physical facility to building a comfortable physical infrastructure with a good environment.
