Samara Wondimu

Samara Wondimu is currently a Fellow at Startup Shell since October 2022 and has been a Student Administrative Assistant at the College of Information Studies (UMD iSchool), University of Maryland, since August 2019. Samara holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, completing the degree in 2023. Previous internships include multiple roles at Slack as an iOS Engineering Intern, where significant contributions involved developing high visibility mobile features and enhancing user interface components. Additional experience includes software engineering internships at Index Analytics LLC and JPMorgan Chase & Co., as well as participating in the Uber Product Management Summit and an internship at Chevron focused on cloud IT support. Samara also completed a course in iOS Mobile App Development through CodePath in 2020.
