Shane Carr

Shane Carr is a Vehicle Integration Engineer at Slate, focusing on electric vehicle opportunities since August 2024. Shane served as a Men's Lacrosse SAAC Representative for the UM Student-Athlete Advisory Committee from September 2022 to May 2024 while being a member of the University of Michigan Men's Lacrosse team from September 2020 to May 2024, which enhanced time management and organizational skills. Shane interned at Ford Motor Company in the summer of 2023, calibrating electric vehicle powertrain systems for the Mustang Mach-E® and F-150 Lightning®, and coordinated testing on prototypes. Prior experience includes project management as an intern at G.P. Construction Services in 2022, managing residential housing structure designs, and operations administration for HoganLax LLC from June 2019 to July 2021, overseeing tournament operations. Shane holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, with earlier education at The Hill School and Severna Park Senior High School.
