Jason Newman possesses extensive experience in environmental management and sustainability across various roles in local government. Currently serving as Group Manager for Carbon & Sustainability at Slough Borough Council since May 2013, Jason oversees strategic initiatives such as the Climate Change Strategy, Carbon Management Plan, and numerous environmental programs including the Sponge City Programme and the Public Sector Decarbonisation Programme. Previous roles include Senior Manager for Asset Management and Environmental Quality Team Manager, where Jason led teams focused on air quality, environmental noise, and compliance with statutory regulations. Jason's career spans back to 1994, with expertise developed through positions at multiple councils, coupled with a strong educational foundation featuring a Master's degree in Environmental Management and a Project Management certification.
