Stephen Brand

Stephen Brand is an accomplished professional in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as Director at SM Energy Company since March 2011. Previously, Stephen held significant roles such as Senior Executive Advisor at Welltec, where responsibilities included advising on business and technology development, and Director positions at BPZ Energy and the Australian American Chamber of Commerce. At ConocoPhillips, Stephen was Senior Vice President of Technology (R&D) and Vice President of Exploration and Business Development, where efforts focused on strategic planning and growth in research and exploration programs. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Geology from Purdue University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
