Zac Maddern

Zac Maddern has a substantial maritime career, currently serving as an ASD Tug Master and Training Master at Smit Lamnalco since August 2015, with a focus on harbour towage at the Port of Weipa for RIO TINTO. Zac possesses extensive experience with various vessels, including RAmparts tugs and multicats, and has held roles from Watchkeeper at Inational Maritime Services to Tug/Mulitcat Master and Chief Engineer at Bhagwan Marine, emphasizing safety compliance and crew training. Earlier experience includes positions at Rob Benn Holdings, Northern Wildcatch Australia, Argyle Fisheries, and Narad Fisheries, where responsibilities ranged from vessel and crew safety to engine maintenance and compliance with maritime regulations. Zac's foundational maritime training took place at Kingston Community School.
