Cindy Tomei

Cindy Tomei, CAE, is an experienced executive in the association and non-profit sectors, serving as Executive Director at Smithbucklin in 2024 and previously as Engagement & Advocacy Services Deputy Director at the Water Quality Association from 2022 to 2023. With a background as VP of Strategic Partnerships and Vice President of Membership Growth & Engagement at the Illinois Manufacturers' Association from 2017 to 2022, Cindy has a strong focus on strengthening member engagement. Earlier leadership roles include serving as President of the Valley Industrial Association of Illinois from 2006 to 2017, where oversight of association activities for manufacturers was a key responsibility. Earlier experience includes positions at Gallagher and the National Safety Council, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
