Beth Lavelle

Beth Lavelle is an accomplished Sustainability Strategist at SmithGroup since April 2024, bringing extensive experience in architecture and sustainable design. Previously, Beth served as a Senior Associate at SERA Architects for nearly nine years, and co-led the Portland Hub of the Carbon Leadership Forum from May 2020 to September 2022, focusing on local carbon impact reduction. With a background as a Job Captain at Oh planning+design, Beth was instrumental in renovating educational facilities for Portland Public Schools. Academic credentials include a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon, specializing in Sustainable Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Miami University. Early career experiences include roles as an Intern Architect at both the University of Michigan and CR Architecture and Design, among others.
