Marlies Spreen

Marlies Spreen is an experienced landscape architect currently working at Gemeente Deventer since September 2007, where a strong passion for the role is evident. Additionally, Marlies has been a travel leader for SNP Natuurreizen BV since July 1993, specializing in trips to destinations such as Spain and mountainous regions. Previous experience includes serving on the Welstandscommissie Twente West from January 2010 to 2015, where collaboration with architects involved assessing spatial planning according to municipal guidelines. Marlies also worked at ARCADIS from August 2001 to September 2007, contributing to various Environmental Impact Reports and urban and rural projects. Prior roles include positions at Landschap Overijssel and Saxion, where curriculum development and teaching in spatial development and planning were key responsibilities. Marlies holds a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Wageningen University & Research, earned between 1985 and 1992.
