Rodrigo Ugarte

Rodrigo Ugarte is a seasoned editorial professional with extensive experience in writing and editing across various media platforms. At the Social Science Research Council since January 2017, Rodrigo has served as Managing Editor, Editorial Associate, and Editorial Assistant. Previously, Rodrigo contributed to War Is Boring, focusing on defense and military history, particularly regarding Latin America, while conducting interviews and research in both Spanish and English. At The Latin Post Company from January 2014 to May 2016, Rodrigo held roles as Editor and Reporter, where responsibilities included researching story ideas and covering current events. Early experiences include internships at The Ithaca Times and The Bilerico Project, where Rodrigo honed skills in pitching stories, conducting interviews, and editing. Rodrigo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Writing from Ithaca College.
