Hope Mehlman

Hope Mehlman is currently the Secretary of the Board at Society for Corporate Governance. Prior to this, they worked as a Board Member at The Council of Institutional Investors from March 2018 to September 2020. Hope has also worked as Chief Governance Officer, Corporate Secretary, and Deputy General Counsel (EVP) at Regions Bank from May 2018 to March 2020.

Hope has significant experience in building best-in-class shareholder engagement programs and providing thought leadership to Boards of Directors and executive management on emerging and leading corporate governance and ESG practices. Hope has also built robust ESG strategies and disclosure programs.

Hope Mehlman earned a Master of Laws (LLM) in Tax Law/Taxation from New York University School of Law. Prior to that, they earned a Juris Doctor (JD) from Seton Hall University School of Law. Hope Mehlman's undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Cornell University.
