Abby Duke

Abby Duke is a dedicated engineering student at the University of Michigan, expected to earn a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science in April 2025. Currently serving as the Corporate & Alumni Relations Co-Director and Publicity Officer for the Society of Women Engineers since April 2022, Abby organizes corporate information sessions for engineering students and plans outreach activities for underserved communities. Previous internships include a Software Engineer Intern position at Microsoft, a Software and Signal Processing Intern role at Leidos, and a Software Consulting Intern at Booz Allen Hamilton, where Abby contributed to projects involving gRPC services and radio transmission optimization. As a co-lead with BLUElab at the University of Michigan, Abby supervised a team focused on sustainable projects to reduce carbon emissions. Abby's academic excellence was recognized as valedictorian at Potomac Falls High School and further enriched by a study abroad program in the Netherlands.
