Dr. Shakeel Ahmad is an Associate Professor at Southampton Solent University, with a focus on Computer Networks and AI & Data Science since July 2016. Prior to this role, Dr. Ahmad served as a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader in Computer Networking at the same institution starting in October 2015, and as a Senior Research Fellow at De Montfort University from September 2008 to August 2015, specializing in multimedia communication, video streaming, and related technologies. Dr. Ahmad's research endeavors include the CNG (Community Network Game) project and have included significant contributions on error-resilient multimedia communication and network simulation during earlier positions in Germany. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Konstanz, a Master's in Information & Communication Systems from Hamburg University of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree from UET Lahore, complemented by a PGCertHE in Higher Education.
