Neil Atkins

Neil Atkins has extensive experience in the healthcare field, currently serving as an Informatics Nurse at Southern Illinois Healthcare since December 2019. In this role, Neil also held positions as Emergency Department Nurse Manager and Intensive Care Nurse Manager. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Vice President of Clinical Services and Emergency Department Nursing Director at Harrisburg Medical Center from October 2013 to December 2019, as well as working as a Staff Registered Nurse. Neil's career began as a Customer Service Advocate for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas from 2009 to 2011. Neil has attained a Master's degree in Nursing Administration from Western Governors University (2019-2021), an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing from Southeastern Illinois College (2011-2013), a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale (2003-2007), and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science from Western Governors University (2018-2019).
