Anne Gray Herring

Anne Gray Herring is an experienced legal and policy professional, currently serving as an Election Fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center since August 2024. Prior to this role, Herring worked as a Policy Analyst at Common Cause from March 2022 to July 2024, and as a Staff Author at Casebriefs.com from June 2021 to January 2022. Herring's background also includes positions as an Associate Attorney at Wilson Elser from September 2019 to April 2021 and at Coleman Talley LLP from August 2017 to June 2019. Earlier experience includes a Summer Law Clerk role at Coleman Talley LLP and a Legal Intern position at the Atlanta Legal Aid Society. Herring began their legal career as a Law Clerk at the Superior Court of Fulton County. Educationally, Herring holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Emory University School of Law, earned between 2014 and 2017, and a Bachelor of Arts in American Government and Politics from Washington and Lee University, obtained in 2011.
