Gina Azito Thompson

Gina A. is an experienced policy analyst currently working at the Southern Poverty Law Center since April 2023. Prior to this role, Gina held positions at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities as a research associate from October 2021 to April 2023, and at the Greater Baltimore Committee as a policy associate from March 2021 to September 2021. Additional experience includes serving as a policy and research intern at the Michigan League for Public Policy from June 2020 to May 2021, and as a graduate research assistant and clerical assistant at Michigan State University from December 2019 to May 2021. Gina holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from North Carolina Central University, complemented by a high school diploma from Carolina Friends School.
