Sumit Mathur

Sumit Mathur is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in system engineering and database management, currently holding a middle management position at Southwest Gas Corporation since March 2023. Prior to this role, Sumit served as Director of System Engineering at Metropolitan Utilities District from February 2006 to March 2023, where significant achievements included leading the migration of over 500 VMs and various enterprise systems to cloud environments, resulting in substantial cost savings and enhanced operational efficiencies. Sumit has also designed high availability systems utilizing Oracle Data Guard, developed roadmaps for SAP system upgrades and migrations, and supported complex IT operations and database management throughout a diverse career that began as Assistant IT Manager at The Bank of Punjab.
