Dr Nathan Scott

Dr. Nathan Scott is a highly experienced engineer and educator with a robust background in design and project management. Currently serving as Principal Project Engineer at the Space Telescope Science Institute since April 2024, Nathan previously held the role of Distinguished Design Engineer at CraniUS LLC from July 2022 to June 2024, where collaboration with a team of engineers focused on developing innovative medical devices. From June 2011 to July 2022, Nathan worked as a Design Instructor at The Johns Hopkins University, facilitating the development of multiple design projects and engaging with industry partners. Earlier experience includes a position as Design Engineer at the Dreamfit Foundation in 2011 and a long tenure as Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at The University of Western Australia from 1996 to 2011, specializing in design and manufacturing education. Nathan holds a PhD in Engineering Education and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, both from The University of Western Australia.
