Shiva Balachander

Shiva Balachander is an Integration and Test Engineer at SpaceX since August 2023. With previous experience at Boeing as a Propulsion Intern, Shiva developed test plans and designed components for propulsion systems. As Avionics Structures Lead at USC Rocket Propulsion Laboratory, Shiva oversaw the design of avionics structures for space vehicles, including innovative 3D printed electronics for recovery systems. Additional internships at Boeing focused on thrust reverser reliability and distributed propulsion systems, while earlier experiences include team leadership in robotics and international space experiments. Shiva holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California.
