Maria Ramal Garcia is currently a PhD student at the CNIO - Spanish National Cancer Research Centre, focusing on the role of the protein STAG2 in bladder cancer under the supervision of Francisco X Real and Eleonora Lapi. Prior experience includes a Master's thesis project at the University of Glasgow, analyzing the transcription factor VEZF1 in human erythroid-like cells, and a CICERONE fellowship at CNIC, where research involved gene expression in aortic diseases. Additional internships at the Institut de Biotecnologia i Biomedicina, PRBB, and the Composting Research Group provided diverse experience in enzymology, proteomics, and compostability research. Maria holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Glasgow and a Biotechnology degree from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
