Bing Chen is currently an advisor at sparks & honey. Prior to that, they were with Gold House. Before that, they were with AU Holdings. From October 2010 to May 2014, they were with YouTube as the Global Head of Creator Development & Management. In this role, they were responsible for the creation and development of the global digital creator ecosystem. This included managing the global creator program strategy with 50+ cross-functional leads representing 50 teams around the world, serving 300+ million creative partners. Bing also co-led $XXXMM global expansion and evolution of the YouTube Partner Program, YouTube's comprehensive suite of services for creators, resulting in 100x increase in number of monetizing channels and 3MM new creators in the first year of launch. Additionally, they co-created and co-launched YouTube's marquee talent incubation program that's launched over 30x, identifying and supporting fitness trainer Blogilates, lifestyle guru Ingrid Nilsen, filmmaker Zach King, musician Peter Hollens, chef Laura Vitales, vlogger Marcus Butler, and many more. Bing also led YouTube's original investments in key industry engagements including VidCon, DigiTour, and supported launch of YouTube Fanfest. Lastly, they co-led creation and launch of updated creator support structures (including the global rewards system anchored by the Gold Play Button, as well as customer support) and most major communication systems (e.g. youtube.com/creators).
Bing Chen holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, where they majored in Creative Writing & Literature, Psychology, and Interactive Marketing. Bing also holds an Executive Education from The Wharton School in Marketing. Bing Chen's high school is Aliso Niguel High School.
