Trent Kursen

Trent Kursen is an experienced instrumentation and maintenance professional with a diverse background in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as an Instrument Technician at Spartan Controls since April 2023, Trent specializes in the repair of various control systems and measurement instrumentation and holds Emerson MRO certification. Prior to this role, Trent worked as a Maintenance Specialist at INFARM, focusing on automated farming systems and HVAC equipment maintenance. Previous experience includes positions as a Field Technician at Advanced Upstream Ltd., where multi-stage fracturing completions were installed, and R&D Engineering Technologist at Baker Hughes, where downhole sensor technologies were developed and tested. Trent also served as a Field Supervisor for Pressure Pumping at Schlumberger, overseeing well stimulation operations. Academic credentials include a degree in Instrumentation Engineering Technology from RRC Polytech and a certification in Coil Tubing Field Supervision from Schlumberger CTS.
