Dr. Michael MacLin

Dr. Michael Maclin serves as the Superintendent of the Special School District of St. Louis County since July 2020, bringing over 20 years of experience in education with a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA). Holding a Doctorate in Leadership in Teaching and Learning from Missouri Baptist University, Dr. Maclin has been recognized for transformative leadership, including receiving the New Principal of the Year Award. Previously held positions include Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, Adjunct Professor at Fontbonne University, and various leadership roles in multiple school districts, where accomplishments include improved student outcomes and financial goals. Dr. Maclin's extensive educational background also includes degrees in Counselor Education, Educational Leadership, and Communication from Missouri Baptist University.
