João Mendes

João Mendes is an experienced technology executive currently serving as Vice President and Global Technology Leader at Specialized Bicycle Components since July 2024. Previously, João held the position of Vice President of Data & AIML at Nike from May 2023 to July 2024 and was Chief Technology Officer at Converse, a subsidiary of Nike, from June 2019 to May 2023. João's earlier career includes significant roles at Whirlpool Corporation, where responsibilities spanned Global Information Systems Director for Internet of Things and Infrastructure Operations. João has a proven track record in managing large-scale IT operations, launching innovative connected products, and optimizing technology infrastructures. Previously, João served as Technology Services Manager at PepsiCo for Brazil and Chief Information Officer at DASA, overseeing technology operations across extensive multi-site organizations. João holds an MBA from UC Irvine, as well as another MBA in Information Technology from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, and a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie.
