Ville Helttunen

Ville Helttunen has an extensive work experience in the game industry and related fields. Ville is currently the Studio Head Finland at SPECTARIUM, a role they assumed in March 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at SPECTARIUM from May 2020 to March 2022.

Before joining SPECTARIUM, Ville held the role of Director of Pelifarmi at Oulun kaupunki - City of Oulu starting from January 2020. In this role, they led a low-threshold workshop for young people interested in the game industry, aiming to help them acquire skills and find employment opportunities in the field.

Ville also served as the Chief Executive Officer at Kaamos Games Ltd. from September 2015 to August 2020. Ville co-founded this start-up based in Oulu, Finland, and led a team of talented individuals with experience in game conceptualization, prototyping, and development.

Moreover, Ville played a key role as the IGDA Oulu Hub in charge of communications at the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) from May 2015 to April 2020. In this position, they managed communications and activities related to the game development community.

Additionally, Ville has lecturing experience at the Oulu University of Applied Sciences, where they worked as a Lecturer from September 2017 to August 2018.

In 2014, Ville previously held a position as a Culture- and Festival Producer at Suomussalmen kunta.
