Ryan Cooper

Ryan Cooper is an accomplished media professional currently serving as the Senior Director of News & Digital at Spectrum News since November 2023, leading collaborative efforts with various digital teams across multiple states. Prior to this role, Ryan was a Managing Director at Charter Communications from April 2020 to November 2023, where oversight of journalists at Spectrum Networks West ensured community engagement through honest journalism. Earlier experience includes freelancing as a Producer for R.C. Cooper Media, and a significant tenure at CNN, first as Executive Producer from May 2008 to March 2014, and then as Director of Programming from August 2014 to November 2018, where programming was developed and launched for national and international audiences. Ryan holds a Master of Arts in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Indiana University Bloomington.
