Paul Tolmachewich

Paul Tolmachewich is a seasoned hardware engineer currently serving as a Staff Hardware Engineer at Spirent Communications since September 2023, following the acquisition of Netscout's Test Optimization group. With extensive experience at NetScout Systems from February 2014 to October 2023 as a Principal Design Engineer, Paul played a critical role in the architecture, design, and testing of advanced Packet Flow Switch fabrics and Layer 1 switching line cards. Prior to this, Paul held a position as Principal Member of Technical Staff at PacketStorm Communications Inc. from February 2002 to February 2014, where contributions included the development of pioneering FPGA-based network emulation platforms. Paul's career also includes significant roles at Village Networks Inc., Lucent Technologies, and AT&T Bell Laboratories, showcasing a strong background in networking and telecommunications engineering. Paul earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from DeVry University in 1987.
