Ciara Donegan is an accomplished researcher and leader with a Bachelor's degree in Atmospheric & Oceanic Science from the University of Maryland, obtained in 2022. Currently serving as a Post-Bachelor Research Associate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Ciara works on the HectorUI interactive climate model and the Emissions Model Intercomparison Project. Previous experience includes a role as a Research Intern at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, contributions to the American Meteorological Society as Secretary and Social Chair, and serving as Music Director for the UMD Gamer Symphony Orchestra. Ciara has also held positions as a Writer and Editor for UMD Weather, Assistant Band Director for Maryland Night Live, and conducted research as a NOAA Hollings Intern at the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve. Additionally, contributions to the MaryPIRG Student Climate Action Coalition highlight a commitment to climate activism.
