  • You develop a deep understanding of different aspects of the Product Design development process and help to identify focus areas for improvements
  • Apply thorough analysis to understand and document workflows and processes
  • Define, plan, and conduct exploratory user research, including supporting the work of less expert colleagues
  • Deliver compelling insights, stories and artifacts to help drive evidence-based product and design decisions
  • Develop and innovate on our mixed-methods user research practice and contribute to the wider Insights community at Spotify
  • Translates insights in practical recommendations

Who you are

  • You have proven experience in user research, with significant expertise in either exploratory qualitative research to identify needs and problems or workflow and task analysis (or both!)
  • You hold a degree in psychology, human-computer interaction, or a related field, and/or relevant professional experience
  • You are comfortable with planning, prioritizing, conducting, analyzing, and communicating research in a variety of contexts
  • You are familiar with quantitative research methods, applying metrics and A/B tests, and able to synthesise quantitative data with qualitative data
  • You are a dedicated advocate of a user-centered, evidence-based approach to product development, while balancing business needs

Where you'll be

  • Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the Americas region in which we have a work location and is within working hours.
  • Working hours? We operate within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration and ask that all be located that time zone.
  • Prefer an office to work from home instead? Not a problem! We have plenty of options for your working preferences. Find more information about our Work From Anywhere options here.
