Denise (Estrada-Rosemond) Hurst was born and raised in the City of Springfield, MA. She is a graduate of the Springfield Public Schools, Springfield Central High School Class of 1997. Denise graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a Masters of Social Work from Springfield College. Denise is currently the Regional Manager at the Massachusetts Lottery's Springfield headquarters. Previously, she worked as the Quality Improvement Manager and Human Rights Co-Coordinator for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. She is also an adjunct professor at Cambridge College. Denise was elected to the Springfield School Committee At Large in 2009. In 2013, she was re-elected to her second term on the Springfield School Committee. In 2017, she was re-elected to her third term.
