Erik Ronald

Erik Ronald is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in resource geology and mineral resource estimation. Currently serving as a Principal Consultant at SRK Consulting since August 2017, Erik focuses on resource geology, mineral resource reporting, and geological modeling. As a co-founder and technical adviser of the Mining Geology Group, Erik contributes to the professional development of geologists and engineers through educational resources. Prior experience includes roles at Rio Tinto, where Erik specialized in resource estimation for Pilbara iron ore deposits, led exploration teams, and provided financial analysis. Erik's career began with positions at the U.S. Department of the Interior, METLAKATLA INDIAN COMMUNITY, and Schlumberger, highlighting a diverse background in geological engineering and drilling services. Erik holds a Master of Engineering in Geological Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, a Bachelor of Science in Geology from UC Santa Barbara, and a Graduate Certificate in Geostatistics from Edith Cowan University.
