Marc Mächler

Marc Mächler was sent by the government of the canton of St.Gallen in accordance with Art. 5 of the Cantonal Bank Act. As a member of the government and head of the finance department, he has represented the canton of St.Gallen as the main shareholder on the board of directors of St.Galler Kantonalbank since June 1, 2020. Marc Mächler has been a member of the government of the Canton of St.Gallen since June 1, 2016, as head of the building department until 2020. Before that, he worked for UBS in various management positions for around 20 years. From 2009 - 2016 he worked in the Wealth Management & Swiss Banks division of UBS AG in St.Gallen, first as Head of Institutional Clients Eastern Switzerland, later as Head of HNW Rayon St.Gallen.
