ary Schumacher has a three-fold interest in joining the St. Joseph Senior Living Board. he has many fond memories of visiting the residents at St. Joseph Hospice throughout his elementary school years at St. Louis Parish. His mother was a frequent visitor and volunteer at St. Joseph's playing Bingo and various card games with the residents. His older brother, John Schumacher was a previous board and was actively involved in the continued planning, growth, and mission of St. Joseph's. Gary is a graduate of the University of Akron and was employed by Synchrony for 33 years, retiring in 2017. He is currently on the Junior Achievement board and continues to teach financial literacy to high school students. Gary also serves on the United Way Board and chairs the United Way Financial Stability Council and is a member of the United Way Investment Council.
