Adjunct Instructor Criminal Justice at St Thomas Aquinas College

Andrew McDonagh is an experienced professional in law enforcement, emergency management, and education. Currently serving as the Basic School Coordinator and In-Service Supervisor at the Rockland County Police Academy since January 2018, Andrew develops and delivers various training programs certified by DCJS. As an Instructor and Subject Matter Expert for LSU's NCBRT, Andrew specializes in active shooter and tactical operations training. In addition to roles at Rockland Community College and St. Thomas Aquinas College, Andrew has contributed to curriculum development and program assessments within criminal justice and homeland security programs. Previously, Andrew held positions such as Emergency Manager at Pace University and Sergeant in the NYPD's Emergency Service Unit. With a Master's Degree in Homeland Security Management and significant experience in hazardous materials management through FEMA, Andrew brings extensive expertise to emergency preparedness and response training.
