David Coppoolse

David Coppoolse is an experienced professional in digital transformation and cultural heritage management. Currently serving as Projectmanager Digitale Transformatie Cultuur at Stad Antwerpen since September 2024, David previously held the position of Head of Library and Archive at SCK CEN from September 2023 to September 2024, overseeing daily operations and strategic initiatives in library and archive management. From October 2009 to September 2023, David worked at Vlaamse Erfgoedbibliotheken, initially as a Coördinator, managing staff and project quality, followed by a role as Digitaal Expert, focusing on metadata, digitization, and accessibility of library heritage. Earlier experience includes significant roles at EDS Belgium NV as an Information Specialist and Advanced Systems Administrator, and at EDS Nederland BV as a Systems Administrator. David holds two master's degrees, one in Theatrical Scholarship from the University of Amsterdam and another in Library & Information Studies from the University of Antwerp, complemented by business education at SyntraPXL.
