Christabel Onyango is a seasoned credit risk management professional with extensive experience in the banking sector. Currently serving as the Country Credit Head at Standard Chartered since April 2024, Christabel has held significant positions such as Vice President of Credit Risk and Portfolio Management at Advancly and Credit Risk and Management Consultant for IFC’s FIG Advisory Services. With a strong foundation in credit risk strategy and management from roles at Credit Bank PLC, Sidian Bank, and Consolidated Bank Of Kenya, Christabel has demonstrated leadership in driving credit management functions and developing effective credit risk strategies. Christabel's career began at Co-operative Bank of Kenya, where a solid background in credit analysis, business development, and customer service was established. Christabel holds an MBA from Strathmore University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies and Mathematics from Kenyatta University.
