Matthew Abelson

Matthew Abelson serves as the Executive Director of Rabbis United at StandWithUs since February 2022. Prior to this role, Matthew was the Senior Rabbi at the Jericho Jewish Center from July 2019 to January 2023 and at Kesher Zion Synagogue from July 2015 to June 2018. Education includes a Master of Arts in Jewish Thought with a specialization in early Zionism and Rabbinical Ordination from The Jewish Theological Seminary, where studies were completed from August 2009 to June 2015. Matthew also holds a Bachelor of Arts in American History from Harvard University, earned between 2000 and 2002, and is a graduate of Scarsdale Senior High School.
