Edward Pimentel

Postdoctoral Scholar, Bioengineering at Stanford University

Edward Pimentel is currently a Postdoctoral Scholar in Bioengineering at Stanford University, conducting research in H. Tom Soh's lab since August 2024. Prior to this role, Edward was a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from June 2018 to July 2024, focusing on enzyme-mimicking and supramolecular catalysis in the Martell Lab. Edward also served as a Teaching Assistant in various capacities, including for an NMR spectroscopy course and an undergraduate organic chemistry lab. Between January 2016 and May 2018, Edward was a Research Assistant at Brigham Young University, where work centered on synthetic pathways to chemotherapeutic compounds and leading synthesis projects. Additional experience includes an internship at Dow AgroSciences, coordinating research programs at the BYU Simmons Center for Cancer Research, and teaching Dutch. Edward holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Brigham Young University and has participated in research at Deep Springs College and Florida State University.
