Marietje Schaake

Marietje Schaake is an experienced professional in international policy and technology governance. Currently serving as the International Policy Director at Stanford University's Cyber Policy Center and as an International Policy Fellow at the Institute for Human-Centered AI since November 2019, Marietje has a strong background in geopolitics and technology, having held the position of Senior Advisor for Tech & Geopolitics at Eurasia Group from March 2021 to May 2022. Marietje also led The Cyberpeace Institute as President from October 2019 to December 2021 and was a Member of the European Parliament representing D66 in the ALDE Group from June 2009 to July 2019. Marietje Schaake holds a Master of Science degree in American Studies from the University of Amsterdam, completed between 1999 and 2004.
