Takuo Fukuda

Takuo Fukuda currently serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at Stanford University, coaching students in the senior capstone course "Design 161 Advanced Design" since March 2024. Additionally, Takuo has been a Creative Director at SYPartners since March 2017, where leadership of design teams in creating innovative visions and experiences has been a primary focus, collaborating with notable client partners including Google, IBM, and Airbnb. Prior lecturing roles have included teaching design research at the Kansas City Art Institute and Culture Design at Musashino Art University. Takuo's experience also encompasses a role as a Wildcard Designer at IDEO and extensive work as an Interaction Designer/Design Researcher at softdevice inc., leading teams to develop award-winning products for major companies. Academic credentials include a Master of Science from Stanford University and a Master of Engineering from Kyoto Institute of Technology, among others.
