Zahra Shokri Varniab

Zahra Shokri Varniab, M.D., is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Stanford University since March 2023, specializing in molecular imaging and managing preclinical research projects. Responsibilities include operating advanced imaging equipment, analyzing imaging data, and developing small animal models for cancer research, alongside extensive hands-on experience with laboratory animals. Concurrently, Zahra serves as a clinical reviewer for several organizations, including Insights Into Imaging, Academic Radiology, and PLOS ONE. Previous postdoctoral experiences involved managing clinical research projects at the Pediatric Urology and Regenerative Medicine Research Center and the Non-Communicable Diseases Research Center. A notable accomplishment includes providing critical care as a COVID-19 fighter at Shahid Beheshti University during the pandemic. Zahra earned a medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, graduating in 2021.
