John Kaltenmark retired from Accenture in August 2014 after over 28 years in various global management roles and client project leadership roles. Since his retirement, he has been providing consulting services to C level executives and their boards in the technology industry and has served on several software company advisory boards.
At Accenture, John was the Group Technology Officer for the Communications, Media, and Technology(CMT) Operating Group from 2012-2014. In this role, John was responsible for setting the technology strategy & growth agenda across the industries CMT serves. Previous to this role, John was the Global Managing Director - Technology Consulting from the business’ inception in 2003 - 2012. In 2009 John also took responsibility for the Infrastructure Outsourcing/Managed Services business. The combined practice grew to more than 20,000 professionals globally under John’s leadership providing our clients with both broad based consulting and delivery services around infrastructure transformation and outsourcing, and highly specialized services in key areas such as IT strategy, application portfolio modernization and optimization, security, data center optimization, networking, storage management and workplace technology/collaboration.
